Sacramento ROCKSTAR ENERGY MAYHEM Show Rescheduled

July 11, 2008

Tonight's (July 11) Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival show — featuring SLIPKNOT, DISTURBED, DRAGONFORCE, MACHINE HEAD and a host of other acts — in Sacramento, California has been rescheduled for Monday, July 14 as the many out-of-control wildfires in the Sacramento area are causing severe air-quality issues, posing a significant health risk to those spending extended periods of time outdoors. This change does not affect any of the other scheduled Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival dates.

As we enter the second week of wildfires, and the recent 100-plus degree temperatures, it is in the best interest of all involved that the tour date be rescheduled as conditions are expected to improve over the weekend. A variety of city and county officials have urged area residents to avoid long-term exposure to the outdoors and limit outdoor recreational activities.

"We sincerely regret this unavoidable cancellation and apologize to fans for any disappointment caused," says Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour co-founder John Reese. "And while we're thankful that the show can take place on Monday, our thoughts are with the families in this area during this difficult time."

The Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival event features more than a dozen artists, acrobatic freestyle motocross riders from The Metal Mulisha and a wide range of vendors and other lifestyle festivities.

Refunds will be available at original point of purchase.
